Make Healthy Food Choices Using MyPlate

So you've completed your Cleansing Fast for 2012. Now you want to maintain the progress you've made by making healthy food choices. You are what you eat and how you eat, I might add. First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move! initiative and Surgeon General Dr. Regina Benjamin have stepped out with a new food icon called MyPlate which offers a visual reminder to make healthy food choices when you choose your next meal. MyPlate can help prioritize food choices by reminding us to make half of our plate fruits and vegetables and shows us the  other important food groups for a well-balanced meal: whole grains, lean proteins, and low fat dairy. To say the least, this is a tremendous move forward in the battle against obesity.

What I really like about MyPlate is that it's so easy to follow. This is effortless as it's gonna get. In the end, the rest really is up to you. MyPlate just seems to simplify something that was not really complicated from the beginning. It's all the @*#(%? delicious choices on the grocery shelf that makes us forget about the better choices.
